This guide will help you through each process of downloading and installing a GBC course, from chosing which courses to download, through loading the course into your game.

Currently you have two options for downloading courses, you can either download some of the Jack Nicklaus 5 courses and convert them to GBC, or you can grab some of the recently released GBC courses from the links below.
If you want to download some of the many JN5 courses available, and also most all of the JN6 courses released since the release of JNGBC/JN6, the best places to do so are :

GBC-Downunder

Puhman's Course Index

Gus & Golf

Also you will find that Gus 'N Golf will have most if not all of the JNSE courses as well.

Now that you have chosen a course to download, you have to actually download it onto your computer.
The download link is likely available on the review and/or quick look you will find at one of the sites listed above.

So simply click on the link and save the file to your hard drive.

Depending upon the speed of your modem and the number of current downloaders, it should take to long to get the files you want, with a slow modem and on Dial-Up connection, to download the course. But faster with faster connections that are available now.

Sometimes you won't be lucky enough to have the link right in front of you to download the course, so you may have to do a little bit of searching to get it.

The best place for this is Warren 'AussieRules' site, which contains links to most all JN5 and GBC/JN6 courses sorted by release date, course name, and designer name.
Once you have a course downloaded, you will need to extract or 'unzip' the files needed to run the course.

The course file that you downloaded probably ended in the .zip extension, so head over to winzip.com and download the evaluation version of WinZip.

Once you have WinZip installed, you are ready to unzip the course and start playing!
Open up your zip file and extract the *.course file into your:

C:\Program Files\Activision\JN6-Golden Bear Challenge\Data\Courses\

Or what ever Drive you have installed the game onto, C:\, D:\, E:\, etc.

The next time you load Golden Bear Challenge, your new course will be available in the course selection menu.
ENJOY!
